Bridgeport Village kicks off “Live Music on the Village Green” summer series

Summer programming, including family entertainment and music by acclaimed Portland children’s musicians, starts of with a bang

July 10, 2023 — Bridgeport Village is thrilled to celebrate its highly anticipated Live Music on the Village Green series, on the shopping center’s newly refreshed park-like setting. This exciting summer series offers guests an exceptional lineup of weekend entertainment featuring atmospheric live music for all tastes from performances by more than 60 local musicians while guests shop, dine and explore the center. These events are part of Bridgeport Village's ongoing $35 million refresh, designed to elevate experiences at this premier fashion and lifestyle shopping center.

“We are excited to enhance the center’s inviting, community-oriented atmosphere while supporting talented musicians during our Live Music on the Village Green and offering family friendly activities during our Summer Saturday activations,” said Elena Arosteguy, general manager of Bridgeport Village. "These summer activations truly showcase Bridgeport's commitment to being a landmark destination for entertainment and recreation that creates genuine connections and delightful experiences for our guests."

Every weekend through September 30, visitors can immerse themselves in the sounds of local musicians as they stroll through the center, unwind under the canopies or enjoy a picnic on the Village Green. Saturday’s from noon-2 p.m. feature musicians and activities catered specially to families. These Summer Saturday’s not only spotlight Portland’s top children’s musical performers, but include activites led by retailers like Little Kitchen Academy, among others, as well as interactive play with hoops, ribbons and twirling plates led by local experts. The Live Music on the Village Green series and Summer Saturday’s adds to the center's diverse range of family activities and allows guests to take full advantage of the exciting new features resulting from Bridgeport's multimillion-dollar refresh.

Since May 2022, CenterCal Properties has been undertaking a $35 million project to modernize and elevate Bridgeport Village, transforming it into a multigenerational community gathering place. As the project nears completion, visitors can now fully enjoy the four seasons of shopping with new covered canopies and fireside seating, renovated facades and the park-like Village Green, which features a community stage and a nature-inspired play area.
